Can meta-learning impact the attitudes, behaviours, and attainment of English and maths GCSE resit students in FE?

This study aimed to encourage GCSE English and Maths resit students to rethink their attitude and behaviours towards learning.

What is this about and what were the main findings?

Students from a mixture of Level 2 and 3 vocational courses  took part in combined Maths and/or English classes for thirty-minute meta-learning sessions over a five week period. The project reported that positive changes to some students' attitudes and behaviours had been observed.
