The role of Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) in tackling skills needs

This report sets out the findings from a project on the role of Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) in relation to skills. This project was implemented jointly by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), the Local Government Association (LGA), and the 157 Group, between October 2010 and March 2011. The project aimed to consider the role of LEPs in articulating and addressing skills needs, with particular emphasis on the effective use of labour market information (LMI); examine the effectiveness of pre-existing strategic partnership arrangements; and flag effective practice, issues and areas for improvement.
