Fault Lines: To what extent can interventions, which aim to change mindsets of tutors, increase learner outcomes in GCSE resits?

Principal focus of the project

This study sought to explore if adapting the mindset and language of tutors delivering Maths could positively influence the mindset of resit learners.

What is this about and what were the main findings?

Professional peer groups were assembled to discuss and develop this theme, while learners were asked to complete a Maths anxiety questionnaire. Due to COVID restrictions, the study could not be completed as expected, but still produces some valuable observations.
