Lockdown – practical science is virtually (im)possible

Principal focus of the project

This study explored how useful BTEC Applied Science students were finding virtual laboratories during the COVID lockdown.

What is this about and what were the main findings?

To ascertain whether a Virtual Lab (VL) could increase student' skills and understanding in the same way as a Real Lab (RL), VL experiments were chosen to reflect RL experiments, which the students had experienced previously in the year, and their thoughts captured.
