Principal focus of the project
This project explored using peer learning/assessment to improve the confidence and problem-solving skills of Maths GCSE resit and Functional Skills students.

What is this about and what were the main findings?
By taking away isolation within the classroom, it was hoped that negative emotions and attitudes could be overcome. The two pproaches trialled were ‘student tutoring student’ and the forming of study groups within a session to solve problems, which appear to have had a positive impact.
