The guidance encompasses ways of setting up enquiries so that they provide effective support for CPD inlcuding focussingon sustaining enquiry over time, the importance of allowing time for practitioners to discuss new practices with other practitioners, the need to lead teams in devleoping skills and practical ways of conducting "collaborative practitioner-led action research", of ensuring that other practitioners can relate to teachers' research, of using direct data from learners or learning experiences, of sharing personal observations, and of encouraging practitioners and learners to contribute to the research
