Safeguarding

Keeping learners safe is a critical success factor in ensuring effective learning. The introduction of the llimiting grade in September 2009 focused providers minds even further in this important area of work. From September 2012 the limiting grade will cease and safeguarding will sit within leadership in the Common Inspection Framework (CIF).

These pages will support providers in their thinking; you will find a wealth of resources here to support you with your safeguarding work.

ALERT: On 28th March DfE  launched a consultation on the guidance document Keeping Children Safe in Education. The consultation will run for 12 weeks until 20th June and can be found on the DfE consultation page at https://www.education.gov.uk/consultations/
