I am able to supply help and advice with many aspects of e-Learning strategy, planning and implementation; e-Learning research; e-Learning training. My background is FE/ACL/WBL.

Training

I am able to supply training workshops which deliver many aspects of e-Learning tools, tips, techniques and technologies. I specialise in the development of staff new to e-Learning and those wanting to advance their e-Learning skills.

David Sugden is an independent sole trader who provides teaching and learning consultancy services with particular reference to effective e-Learning. A sole proprietor, David is qualified and able to undertake project management, research, training delivery and strategic planning and implementation alone or in collaboration with others.

David has 11 years experience and an MSc in Educational Technology.

He has a reputation for enthusiastic delivery and innovative approaches to teaching and learning. His background is in FE and Work Based Learning, although he has also worked with his former college and local authorities on aspects of e-Learning strategy development and training for ACL.

David has undertaken many types of research for a variety of clients, including the University of Huddersfield and has worked with Becta, LSN, NIACE, JISC and others on a wide variety of training and implementation contracts.

Work undertaken includes:

• Innovative Practice with mobile and wireless technologies – workshop design and delivery for JISC (also appeared in publication of same name)
• Roll out and support of NLN materials in Wales – for Becta
• Project management of learning material development for LSN plus delivery of subsequent training workshops
• e-Guide Trainer for NIACE, delivering to Work Based Learning e-guides
• Various projects with TechDis to support accessible practices in ‘e’ and ‘mobile’ learning
• Individual training for FE colleges eg. Bury, Blackpool, Bishop Burton.

Charges start from £425 per day plus expenses but can be negotiated for longer contracts or desk work.
