Excellence Gateway
The UK Qualifications and Skills Team (UKQST) in LSIS is a strategic, impartial, expert team, which aims to enhance professionalism and talent for the lifelong learning workforce across the nations and regions of the UK. The team acts as a link between employers, professionals, partners and policy makers.

The team transferred from LLUK to LSIS on 1 April 2011. An archived version of the LLUK website is available from The National Archives.

Further Education in England (including Work Based Learning and Adult and Community Learning), capacity is to be retained on a permanent basis. This will maintain a high degree of continuity in the development of standards and qualifications, research, LMI (labour market information) including the SIR (Staff Indvidualised Record) and other workforce data collection and specialist information and advice service.

LSIS as a sector led body will consult on the long term future of all the work that is transferring with all relevant stakeholders including through the relevant panels and committees, professional and sector representative bodies.
