This section will in due course offer support for targeted responses on specific health topics.

It is not the intention to provide significant expert information about these health topics, but rather to signpost to where this information can be found elsewhere.

This section will be developed to provide a brief overview of relevant policy, evidence and applicability to the FE sector, and will focus particularly on evidence of good practice and successful initiatives targeted on FE learners and staff.

Sexual health

• Wigan and Leigh College

Teen pregnancy is a problematic area in Wigan. The college is tackling this head-on with some of its sexual health initiatives.

• City of Sunderland College

The college has implemented a number of health and wellbeing initiatives, focusing mainly on sexual health and teen pregnancy.
