For staff in schools, two introductory 2-hour modules have been developed, which can be tailored to meet the needs of your school. The modules are designed to build understanding of Foundation Learning; therefore, both modules need to be accessed by the same group of people, with module 2 following on from module 1 at a later date.
Module 1 – Preparing for Foundation Learning: An overview of what is required to make Foundation Learning successful in your school, covering topics such as identifying learners, curriculum guidance and sample programmes.
Module 2 – Developing a Foundation Learning programme: How to design motivating personalised learning programmes which meet the needs of your learners.
In addition, tailored training can be arranged on a range of Foundation Learning topics including designing personalised learning programmes, exploring the potential of the QCF, initial assessment, partnership working, securing progression, supporting the achievement of LDD learners and assuring quality.
This training is available to staff in colleges and learning providers, and to groups of Foundation Learning delivery partners.
