General information

Workrooms are online spaces which support group discussions. If you have registered with the Excellence Gateway then you can create a workroom and you can decide whether to make it publicly accessible or private. Workrooms are a great way of sharing information with a smaller group of colleagues, discussing documents, or developing resources.
To become a member of one of the workrooms, you will first need to register with the Excellence Gateway and make sure that you are logged in.

Becoming a workroom member

One of the benefits of registering with the Excellence Gateway is that you can join a workroom. There are three types of workrooms:

  • Open workrooms are available for any registered user to join.
  • If you wish to join a moderated workroom, then the workroom host needs to approve your membership.
  • For the invite only, the workroom host needs to send you an invitation to join.

Please be aware of the house rules for community features which all managers and users of workrooms will be expected to follow.

For more information about how to use the workrooms please read the Excellence Gateway workrooms user guide.
