Technology Exemplar Network

The Technology Exemplar Network is a successful approach to support learning providers' use and application of technology through peer support. Members of the Network share effective practice and support through the exchange of experience, knowledge and practical know-how, that will benefit learners and organisations.

By reviewing real examples of effective practice taking place elsewhere and by sharing experience, learning providers can further develop their plans for future investment and implementation of technology for learning.

The core network comprises 16 exemplars and 113 participating providers who work closely together within a programme of peer support. They meet regularly throughout the year and use online forums to share experience and effective practice.

The Network has the potential to influence two million students and 50,000 Further Education teachers and trainers.

What is an Exemplar?

The Technology Exemplar Network has 16 learning providers that have been awarded ‘Exemplar’ status.  The Exemplars were chosen for their success and expertise in using technology to support learning, and their willingness to share with others. Their responsibility has been to develop a network of learning providers to increase peer networking, share innovation and expertise.

What is a participating provider?

Participating providers come from across all areas of the Further Education (FE) and Skills sector this includes: FE and Independent Specialist Colleges (ISC), work-based learning (WBL), adult & community learning (ACL) and offender learning providers (OLASS). These organisations are benefitting from peer networking and have developed their use of technology.
