This section provides some information you need to make a case in your own context for a whole organisation approach to Professional Development Planning. The resources provide links to national research, provider case studies and good practice guidance.They are intended for use by Staff Development Co-ordinators, Human Resource Managers, LLN and Functional Skills Managers and others involved in professional development planning.  

How to use it

There are two resource links. The first offers some key points for making the case for the benefits of a trained, qualified workforce with senior managers, vocational managers, HR and staff development managers and individual teachers. The second is an interview which captures one provider’s approach to professional development planning.
