The Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) leads a partnership on behalf of LSIS (formerly QIA) to deliver the Diploma support programme - preparing practitioners. As part of a suite of training, consultancy and resources available to practitioners LSIS has created the Diploma support programme website. This site will continue to be developed throughout the year and your feedback on the site would be invaluable to aid that development. Please take part in our short survey.

Linking NLN Materials into Level 2 Diplomas - Society Health and Development, and Construction and the Built Environment.
Becta has commissioned expert practitioners from the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) Vocational Learning team to select some of the NLN materials for use on the new 14-19 Diplomas. As a result a set of guide templates was produced. Each template maps an NLN resource onto level 2 of the Diploma in Construction or Society Health and Development. Where possible Functional Skills and PLTs links are suggested. Preferred learning styles' are considered and suggestions for use with learners.
Please note you will need to be registered with the NLN website in order to fully engage with the NLN resources.

This programme is managed and delivered in partnership with the National College for Leadership of Schools and Children's Services. It provides bespoke provision, along with referral to workforce support partners and others, to support the successful implementation of Diplomas within a consortium of colleges, schools and other 14-19 providers.
Leaders and managers of 14-19 consortia who have moved successfully through the DCSF Diploma Gateway and are preparing to implement Diplomas.
Primary support is offered through a Consortium Adviser, who maintains ongoing dialogue with each of their own consortia through planned conversations, interim meetings, phone calls and emails. Consortium Advisers are on hand to support strategy and planning, facilitation of key meetings, attendance at those meetings and facilitation or brokerage of peer to peer learning with colleagues in other consortia.
"From our point of view it's been absolutely brilliant because... (she's) met with us regularly, has provided access to all sorts of information, access to contacts from other areas. It's enabled us to keep on track, to review and check where we're up to and to identify where we need some additional support, or where we'll benefit from a range of support or the programmes that are available."
